View Full Version : Ageing Linked to Daylight Saving

Daylight Saving was (re-)introduced in NSW in 1971.
I had jet black hair then, but occasionally I saw a stray bright white hair.
I'd tug it out and look at it in amazement. This happened increasingly as
the years passed, until now all my hair is white/light grey.
The correlation is clear and inescapable: my hair whitening has increased
with time - the same time as we've had Daylight Saving. The government
wants to do what it can to minimise the problems of an ageing population:
End Daylight Saving!
Disclaimer: I actually don't mind DST:cool:

One of my friends was whinging that daylight savings was making their curtains fade.
I suggested the need to keep the curtains closed then, as that would keep the sun out and solve their concerns.

I still reckon that the extra hour fades the curtains that much quicker.

Indeed, JK! Yes. Cast your mind back to the 1970s
production of HAIR. Where are they now? - Or even more
to the point: where IS IT now?
Flaxin? - No longer :(
Waxin? - Inevitably, of a chrome dome
You know the old song: Where have all the Dreadlocks/Tresses Gone?:confused013

Am, mine has gradually migrated down onto my body, and keeps getting clipped off for a variety of surgical procedures (or ripped off by hundreds of cardio dots ...).

I suppose the British Parliament may have an answer for this
(if certainly not for the Brexit fiasco):
If you are feeling desultory about hair loss, get yourself a whig!

Hair? I just achieved a personal best - an eyebrow hair over 5.5 centimetres long! Reaches halfway down my cheek if I drag it down!
Sadly that comes at the expense of a rapidly diminishing supply on the top of my head.

I agree! It's just when it pokes me in the eye that I notice how long they are. I was once on holiday and discovered that some other tourists were trying to take sneaky photos of my eyebrows as they reckoned they were the longest they'd ever seen. Apparently they christened me "Eyebrow Man"

Awe shucks ...... I'm overcome, with humility .... and eyebrow hair. :o
Not sure about ageing though I have noticed with daylight saving active it takes me 5 mins to walk to the pub and 30 mins to get home. The difference is staggering!

Wont someone think of the dairy cows.
Wont someone think of the dairy cows.
no
Wont someone think of the dairy cows.
They do have eyebrows that bobt is jealous about but otherwise I'd think them cows don't care how daylight savings stuff their farmers around.
