Another hobby that I am absorbed in is Model & Toy Steam Engines, its more than a hobby - its an obsession!
Here's my YouTube page, I have literally hundreds of engines and accessories, I but them from all over the world and they usually come
with parts missing or broken and I make all the parts on my lathe and mill and get the steam engines up and running -

And here's a video of my steam room that I did for an event in 2016, its a World Wide Online steam engine event that happens once a year.
The engines have escaped the steam room now and are filling other areas of the house, thankfully Jenny is very understaning :)

My other half would love that! I'll have to show him your Youtube channel :-) Too bad you're so far away. Or maybe it's for the best. ;-)

Appreciated Oakley, it definitely keeps me busy :)
My father was taking super 8 photos of stream engines in the late 60's. He would love this post. :)
Well done on having the drive to set your room up.:th3:
How many of these models are just models and how many could actually steam up if you wanted??
Everyone needs a hobby and to have two you are passionate about is great. It must be incredibly satisfying after working on a broken engine to see it come back to life again.

I have over 250 engines at last count (they breed) and only one of them can't be steamed, all the others are or have been repaired to be capable of running on live steam off one of the many boilers that I have in my collection.
I have a lot of videos here and a lot of the engines have been filmed running on live steam -

Thanks Glenda, it definitely is a passion driven hobby with a lot of satisfaction getting one of these broken down old engines (some over 100 years old) from all over the world and researching the missing parts and fabricating them up to close tolerances to get these old engines running again under live steam. Appreciate you looking and thanks for the comment :)
