Happy Birthday Andy - you are a Cancer Sign like my hubby.
Hope you had a great day and all the best for the coming year. :party5::food04:

Thanks Lyn :)
Spent the morning down at Laratinga Wetlands, so an amazing morning.
Targeting Superb Fairy-Wrens this morning, and they were getting so close that I simply couldn't focus on them. Had a couple of them come right up to me and pass within 30cm of the end of the lens

Cake sounds good :D And what a great way to spend a pleasant morning with those dear little Birds.
I feel for you with the closest focal distance, when I do get out these days I often take my other camera with the 70-200mm lens on it.

Aren’t they gorgeous over there Andy? Even the dog walkers and bike riders don’t faze them.
We are so lucky to have such a nice wetland so close.

Thanks Mary Anne :th3:
I could have stayed there all day, just interacting with them, so cute and inquisitive.
I think I could have even managed to take a good photo with my 30mm f/3.5, they kept coming that close :th3:

Simply out of this world Lyn, they just seem to keep doing their thing, regardless of who was around.
Spent around an hour and a half laying prone and taking photos of them, and they didn't seem to care.
Some would come and say hello and fly away, only to return again a few minutes later and repeat the process :th3:
Perfect way to spend a morning :th3:
