Upload Attacment Problem

Now I am having a different problem: When I try to post a photograph the upload grinds its way to 100% then flashes up the sign "JpegXXXXXXX upload failed." with no other explanation. I have tried reducing the image size but it makes no difference:(

So, have you tried this with other pictures?

Have you checked BOTH file size (<=400KB) and dimensions (<=1200 px)?

A simple way to prepare your photo for upload if you are using Photoshop is to go File>>Export>>Save for Web (Legacy) and then choose 1024 px (or is 1200 px now?) on the longest side and adjust the quality of the photo until the file size is less than 400KB. Two jobs done in one process. :th3:

Yes, that's mostly right. But make sure your exif is retained, as (I think) that saving method
has it off as default. Also, it's just 1200 pixels max, even for square format.

Yep, that is my process exactly for photos to go anywhere on the web.

Colin. If this keeps happening, even after ensuring 1200 pixels max and 400kb max, can you email me the photos. : rick@ausphotography.net.au and I will see if I can find the cause for you.

O.K, I see the problem. When I resize to 1200 x 768 in MS Picture Manager, for some reason the file size is 412kb so resizing that to 95% fixes the problem. Funny that I did not get the "your file is too big" screen yesterday??
