Hi, Does anyone know where the "Pro Photographers" buy their camera gear! Also can someone please recommend some stores to buy camera gear within the $500 - $2,000 mark?

People buy them where-ever is convenient to them. Sometimes locally, sometimes from other places in Australia, sometimes from overseas.

I really depends what you want from the place you buy from, whether you buy locally , online, or overseas. There is no store that is 'the best' place for everyone. I have purchased a camera locally (here in Hobart), then the next one from Melbourne. One from Hong Kong, etc. Accessories, I will even use E-bay etc.

So to answer your question.. Pro Photographers buy their gear from where-ever suits them at the time of purchase.
