Hi
I am travelling to Canada next month. I will take an adapter to fit the Canadian wall sockets. Will my Nikon battery charger automatically switch voltages to suit?

Also, what is the situation with DSLR cameras? Do they need to go in Checked baggage or can we still take them in Carry-on?

Thanks.

Yes. All modern chargers run on 100-240V Input.
(This should be shown o the Info panel of the unit.)
The output will be the same as here.

Carry on for sure. (AFAIK, still.) Put little as possible in booked luggage.
A medium sized camera bag will pass the Carry-on requirements for size,
but check it's not overweight for the carrier. (If Air Canada, pretty good.)

Surely these are questions you should be asking that Border Security department.:confused013
Can you afford to get it wrong these days?;)

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I have had a second retinal detachment so our Canada trip has been cancelled.
Bugger!:(

Bad! But perhaps better now than later. I think the restorative process is permanent?
(Only had cataract, so ltd knowledge of that.)
