View Full Version : D7500 released in June at a rumoured cost of....
$1700 approx.
Who knows if correct but camera looks good.
A full rotating screen like D5600 would be good.
Looks like a good bit of kit with some features borrowed from the D500.

A "dumbed down" D500.
A "dumbed down" D500.
Or a 'smartened up' D7200. :lol2:
A full rotating screen like D5600 would be good.
Agree. My Nikon D5100 (first released way, way back in 2011) has a screen that folds out and rotates 360 degrees. It is very useful. I have never understood why the mid-level consumer DSLR has this but not the more upmarket "prosumer" D7000, D7100, D7200 and now D7500. :confused013

Yeah it looks perfect as a compliment for my little Olympus kit. The mk 2 om-d is great and all, but the sensor performance isn't awesome. That additional higher iso performance will come in handy!
Prices indicated @ Nikon on Broadway $2110 ATM for the D7500.....Perhaps a price drop of the D500 will kill it off

That's a ridiculous price jump from the D7200 .. and more importantly when the D7200 is delisted from stock, then the price differential between the next model down(currently the D5600) is even more massive.
How this plays out in the future for Nikon is looking grim!
Irrespective of the cameras capability, I just can't see any value in such a camera at that price.
It only reinforces the D7200 as a positive bargain!

Have to admit after my D7000 was stolen and I purchased my D7200 I was a bit apprehensive to purchase as it was way more expensive than the 7000 was for really not a huge advance in pic quality and features , along comes the D7500 mmmmm that's a lot of money

I saw two pre-order prices online...2150 & 2198 AUD.
With the D7200 at either end of $1000 seems to be the writing on the wall
cheers
The exchange rate ain't what it use to be, nor are volumes.

Its stunted in many ways from the 7200, What's with only one card slot ??? Seriously !!!
The twisty screen is just something else to go wrong. If I was in the market for a new DX it would be a D500 or if that was too expensive a D7200 before you wont be able to buy a new one, The sensor is so close to the 7500 in performance I doubt you would be able to tell the difference.
Those pre order prices are going to drop after release
