If a category is classified as "Panorama" is that referring to any photograph that is ( like ), twice as wide as it is high, or two or more photos that have been stitched together.

Anything that you can reasonably render into a panoramic view, TG.
If, for instance, you attached a wide-angle lens to the camera expressly
to take wide-field views and crop unwanted parts from the image, then
that would be a panorama.

OTOH, vague cropping of images into "wide" aspect ratios probably would not
qualify.
