Hey,
how many of you use the X-rite colorchecker passport, especially the Neutral white card. I personally use just the colour swatches and WB through them.

i have one which I got free with a light meter I bought a few years ago but I have never had the chance to open it.
I bought one a year ago with good intentions but still haven't managed to setup up the software and use it yet....
I have one and have taken the obligatory daylight (and flash) photos with my cameras and imported the images into LR. I then used the bundled SW to generate the profiles and tend to use them when I import photos.
However, even though I apply the profile to the camera in LR, various Plug Ins that I use in CS6 tend to alter the results. So although I start off with a good baseline, I tend to end up with something a little different.:)
I do this more as a fun and interesting technical exercise as I enjoy messing with stuff, rather than some altruistic desire (or requirement) to record colours and tones faithfully. :)
Cheers
Dennis
