Was looking at some wonderful image on Facebook from a local photographer (Lindsay Cupper) and he very kindly gave me a few direction to a swamp teeming with wildlife.
Went out the other day (bout ¾hr away) and again this morning. Unfortunately I got bogged this morning in the dark, so just went birding :grinning01:

This is what it looks like when you move to fast

Luckily Mr. Cupper turned up as I was leaving & towed me out.
He was there to setup a bird hide which I now have permission to use later in the week :grinning01: :grinning01:

Wow, that's what I call a mess of birds! Great news for you about being able to use his hide. :)

Now you have somewhere to hide the next time you get bogged.:D
I'll confirm at least 10 Great Egrets in the photo.:th3:

Can't get there in the morning, but Wednesday's looking good.

This swamp is left behind after the recent floods and will eventually dry up...:(
Apparently they're all feeding here and breeding down the road about 500 meters away...not so good for photography there.

Talking with Lindsay (http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2012/08/17/3570441.htm) this arvo and he said they were getting use to the hide...hope so :D

Wow, I can count at least 10 different species of birds but there are probably more. A bird lover's paradise! :D

Don't forget the Aerogard and something to drink when you head to the hide.
