...If anything other than "background separation"? But OOF background is only one

Look at Aussieden's thread here (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?150288-Lewin-s-Honeyeater&p=1388689#post1388689) (and others by Mark, Lance, etc...) and the comment by Nardes (Post 4)
about BG separation.

We have "bokeh" for the OOF patterns of lenses, but nothing short for the "BG sep" - that I know of
at least:confused013

Is there a shorter term? Do we need one? Can anyone make one up?

You think about these things on Sunday evenings:nod:

"You think about these things on Sunday evenings:nod:" I don't:)

I usually just say the subject really pops - usually because of a nicely blurred background or bokeh.

"Is there a shorter term? Do we need one? Can anyone make one up?"

Please no - I don't need another acronym to learn.

OK, you're excused, Llps. -- Well how about Saturday nights:confused013

Gee! Perhaps, but DOF and "background separation" are only tangentially related,
not identical twins, such as...
"Gee! That shallow DOF really helps separate the subject from the background!"

(And that only holds for Sunday evenings:nod:)

OK, guys. Forget I asked. I am asking in F-stop, not the Members Challenge.
