Looks like wild and extreme weather not seen in 50 years is forecast!...a good day to be inside perhaps?

Stay safe.

Heard on the radio that the entire state's power went out during the mid afternoon!

Just had a look at the weather, and it looked fairly wild.
Luckily for us .. on the right side of the border! :p ... the trough that caused all the mayhem is subsiding as it makes it way south of west .. but we'll get all that rain over the next few days.

(should fill up some waterfalls nicely tho! ;))

Yeh power was off for about 4 hours.
Hats off to the workers out there in that weather who got things back pretty quick.

The Weatherill Govt MUST resign NOW and call an election. The highest cost of power anywhere and it is totally unreliable. Total incompetence by Labor.

Given the money spent there should be more redundancy and never should the whole state lose power.

Shutting down base load generators earlier in the year was stupid.

^ so simple really. Nothing to do with an extraordinary weather event and I'm sure things are totally unreliable most days.
Agree with redundancy though.

We have had more outages this year than previous years.
Since the Northern station was closed there has been a reduction in reliability; many small outages which are a PITA

We have had worse storms in the past.

For the money spent we citizens/tax payers deserve much better.

Sure the weather is the specific cause, but the lack of multiple inter-connectors and redundancy in the transmission network are the underlying issue
