welcome aboard.. what kind of photography are you interested in? there are some cracking places around Yorkshire for landscapes, old buildings and around Sheffield you have the remains of the mining industry etc.. looking forward to seeing some of your post.

Thanks for all the welcomes - I'm not really sure what type of photography i'm interested in - generally I tend to be limited to holiday snaps and special occasions at the minute. Part of why I'm here is to start taking photos to learn what I want to take photos of, and partly to develop some kind of skill of seeing a shot worth taking (something I definitely lack currently).

The best learning you could do though is just move to Australia.:) My friends Jacqui and David did that nearly a decade ago and they , well ,love me.:D Do you by chance happen to know them??:D:D
