First thing's first; please don't hate me for the title. I couldn't resist.
So hi everyone. Spootz here (real name is Tom, don't ask about the screen name I cant remember the story). Joined to get a bit more info and involvement with the photography community here in Aus. I am currently shooting sports and astro photography, strange combination I know. I am invested in the Canon system and so I will be envious of stuff I see in the sony and Nikon space so sorry in advance for the jealous posts (ill try to keep them to a minimum). I also try (FAIL) to be funny most of the time so I also apologise for that crappy humour in advance too.
My current kit consists of the following
- Canon 600D
- Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 (got it as a kit)
- Canon 50mm f1.8 II
- Tamron 150-600mm F5-6.3
- Yongnuo YN560EX-IV Flash
- Manfrotto 680B Monopod
- Velbon travel tripod
- Sandisk Ultra SD cards
- assorted cleaning bits and bobs
- spare batteries... so many spare batteries
and I keep all of this in a Lowepro Protactic 350AW
I consider myself as a beginner simply because I haven't been doing this for very long. But I am learning quickly and am always appreciative of constructive critique of my work.
I look forward to being an active member of the AP family.
Cheers,
S.
