Nikon has announced the Nikon D5 – price tag £5,199.99/€6,989.00 and a March release date – which boasts a new 20.82-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and offers 4K video recording.
Among the most significant features on Nikon’s new flagship camera is 4K/UHD video recording. In an upgrade over the D4s, the Nikon D5 can shoot 4K movies (3840×2160 pixels) at 30p/25p/24p in dot-by-dot native pixel crop, as well as Full HD (1080p) video at up to 50p/60p in multiple formats.
The Nikon D5 promises strong lowlight performance, with a native ISO range from 100 to 102,400, which is extendable up to a staggering ISO 3,280,000 equivalent at the Hi 5 setting.
