View Full Version : Hello ....
Hello everyone,
I’ve been a long-term happy snapper, but now wish to understand the photography process in a little more detail. My equipment is pretty basic a Nikon Coolpix and Canon DSLR putting them and me to the test through an on-line photography course in an attempt to move me out of auto mode!
I’d like to take advantage of this online community to improve my photography skills albeit with a little trepidation at this stage.

G'day Goldy, welcome to a good place to help you learn.
Don't be afraid to ask questions and make comments on others photos.
So there is this in the library that may explain things a bit more simply than the course you're doing ..... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book
And never to late to join in the weekly mwmbers challenge to give you so themes to photograph as you learn .... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?190-Member-Challenges-52-2015
Enjoy the photographic journey and see you around AP hopefully.:th3:

Welcome Goldy and really, Auto mode can be very useful at times so don't stress so much about it. :)
think it's way too soon, but have entered one anyway! really appreciating the encouragement...

Thank you, as I really keep feeling it's a cop out flicking to auto as I'm scared of missing a shot!
Having said that, there have been times where I've thought at least I captured a great moment... even if it wasn't perfect, so comforting comment at this stage!
