Adobe Creative Cloud question

If I get the photography subscription, is Adobe Acrobat to make pdfs included? If not, what to people use? I run a Mac.

I use Win 8.1, and thanks to Kym ages ago (and he's probably 4-gotten:D), I use
Foxit Reader (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/index.php) - which has the ability for you to save readable annotations in your PDFs.
Foxit Phantom (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Security/) - a reader plus editor, which was a 30-day trial but still works long after that for me. Like just now I saved a text file as a PDF with it.

One or the other (the reader, I think, as it's been there for ages) installs a PDF printer in your browser and other programs, and that lets you create PDFs too.

Of course, I don't know if they work for Mac, but you can try.

CC Photographers Edition has no tool for PDF

PDF creation on either Mac or Windows can be done via setting up a PDF printer; then print whatever to the PDF printer and it creates a file.
CutePDF, PrimoPDF etc.

The more recent version of MS Office allow save as PDF as well

Actually, now that a few recollections have filtered back into my head, doesn't the Mac OS have a PDF
saving facility anyway? (And Kym has forgotten:D

Piddy you still need a reader to view PDFs.

I can do the pdf printer thing, but with proper full Adobe Acrobat it has a distiller which makes much more compact files, suitable for emailing to suppliers of business cards etc

Apple includes the ability to create PDF standard in OSX. If you open any image file in Preview, you can export to PDF. You can also batch convert files to PDF if you want. It also has various options to reduce file size in the product.

Most people don't realise but the Preview product actually has a lot of functionality behind the base product. It supports most file formats for viewing and you can even add signatures to a PDF using the webcam by signing a white piece of paper and holding it up to the webcam. On top of this, you can preview files in a folder by simply clicking the first file and pressing CMD space, then scrolling through the rest of the images in the folder using your arrows.

You will also find the standard convert to PDF functionality if you use the print function. In the bottom left corner of print you will see a save to PDF option so this can even be used for other desktop applications.

Sorry, just realised I said CMD space for previewing files in a folder. It's just space. CMD space opens spotlight search.

That's OK MM. It only took me a 2ple of seconds to realise what "CMD space" meant.
