Hi,

Just a post to say Hi, I have just purchased my new (well new to me) Camera, really only ever had phone and digital point and shoots, so had some spare cash to get a DSLR

I decided to buy secondhand just so i can get started and hopefully go from there, So i manged to acquire a Canon 1000D with EFS18-55 (1:3.5-5.6),EF 90-300 (1:4.5-5.6) and EF 50(1:1.8) lenses, bags tripod and mono pod

so playing with it at the moment tending to take one picture in automode then switching to manual modes to play with it

would like to advice from locals

anyway thanks for reading

Darren

G'day Darren.
Enjoy the photography journey. Not much point if you don't enjoy it.:th3:
It won't all happen over night though, but good photos will happen.
Some of this you may know but it's well worth working through to get some basics (all free on AP:)) .... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book

As Rick said, "....feel free to ask us anything, we are a happy bunch around here, always willing to offer guidance." You'll be getting better photos sooner.:th3:
