Hi any and everybody. I'm a newbie on this website. Just really looking for any helpful tips on how to improve my photography. Anything at all.
:gday: & Welcome to AP!
- lets see some photos in the main CC forums (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?5) maybe try a competition or 2 and have fun!
Maybe have a look at the New to Photography (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book) book and the Learning Plan in the book.

One good option is to subscribe to KelbyOne for a month and watch as many videos as possible.
The stuff from Scott Kelby on composition is a good start as it focusses on how to frame a photo.

Welcome J and enjoy :)
Welcome J C
If you get involved here, you'll learn.
Don't be afraid to comment on others photos, as it actually helps you consider what you can do to improve what you're doing.
"I like that because ..." "Why did you do ....?" whatever.
And don't be afraid to ask questions. Helps us all learn.:th3:

It depends on what you want to photograph. Birds, landscapes, macro, people etc.
See you around AP hopefully.

Thnaks. Awesome. Cheers. Will try to do.
Hi there,
Digital photography is cheap once you are set up with your equipment.
The next thing to improve your talent is taking images--lots of them. Compare them with other pictures in magazines and try to evaluate yours.
To find ideas use sites like the following

Once you are confident you then can upload your pictures here and I am sure there are plenty of willing people to help you with good advice.
Cheers Moxi

Why wait 'til you're confident? What if confidence doesn't happen? See if people here can help from the start.
Don't worry, there's plenty of not so good photos posted on AP.
"What am I doing wrong?'
"How can I improve this photo?"
"Quite pleased with this, what do you think?"
Take lots and lots of photos...........
