I was hoping I could get a little help. I haven't done much of firework photography but managed to get a few decent shots last night and I'm keen to combine the good ones (about 4 in total) into one image that has all images visible stacked ontop of/behind each other. I am using CS5 and I'm just a little unsure about the process. Photomerge doesn't seem to be helping me out. Is there some way to do it using layer masks? Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! :)

Try layers using a blend mode of multiply

Ah ha!! Thanks Steve! I thought it was either multiply or lighten - turns out it's lighten that gives me the effect I was after. Thanks for putting me on the right track! Much appreciated :)

Yep, lighten is the one. I haven't used it for a while, but it's worth trying them sometimes just to see what they do. Great for lightening or volcanoes at night too.

I'm curious to see what the end result was too. Hint hint. =]
