G'day from DSLR Noob

Greetings all. I joined up here years ago, but have only had a simple PS camera...till now.

As a birthday/xmas present I've invested in a Nikon D5300 and am just learning the ropes.

I'm gradually teaching myself stuff off the WWW and have read a couple of books. Also in the middle of a MOOC on photography. I'm really enjoying playing with the new camera and getting the feel for it (but the plethora of setting possibilities is very overwhelming).

I'm mainly interested in combining photography with my other two passions, Mopars and kids athletics!

- lets see some new photos in the main CC forums (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?5) maybe try a competition or 2 and have fun!

Staying active is easy and fun, just post an image for CC once a fortnight and
post 2 or 3 CC comments to other images in the same fortnight.
