Went to visit the local camera supplier......***name removed according to new member restrictions - see site rules***, one that was closest to us and have bought from there before.
Looking to upgrade to a new body. They have a new 6D for $1800 body only where they generally retail ***name removed*** for $2500. The salesman will also throw in a 50mm lens for, not that it matters as my Sigma 150 - 500 will fit on.
Is this worth or wait for the 7D mk11?
Price sounds fine for an Australian shop purchase.

I don't follow the logic here?

If you want high frame rate and a top end AF system then wait for the 7D mk11, but I'm assuming you don't since you are looking at the 6D.
You might want to consider the very well featured 700D if full frame or crop are optional in your decision.

Oops my bad and I apologise for that....will try not to let it happen again.
Thanks Dug, I think it will be more of a cost thing if I go with the 6D.

Ask yourself if the 6D and the 7D mk2 where the same price which would be the camera that better suits what you photograph? They have very different features.
If its the 7D mk2 then what I was suggesting is the the 700D is the camera that comes closest to the 7D mk2 (without spending even more), where as the 6D bears no resemblance to it in its defining features other than general control layout and build.
