A brief introduction about me and my photographic adventure.
I got into photography in 2006 following an introduction by a work colleague and the first DSLR camera I purchased was the Canon 450D. At the start of my adventure, I had very little to no knowledge about photography and the functions of an DSLR camera. Like many I used the auto settings which kind of defeated the purpose of having an DSLR. My colleague encourage me to use other functions and I slowly moved to Aperture Mode / Manual.
I have gone through many cameras / lenses during this time and I strongly believe I’ve developed G.A.S – I still wonder if there is a cure since its burning a hole in my pocket like there is no tomorrow lol. I have gone from 450D > 7D > 5D2 > 1DIV > 1DIV > 5D3 and each time I somehow justified the purchased inside my head. I have also owned many lenses like Canon 50L, 24-70 2.8 mark I and 70-200 F4.
I also purchased the Sony A7R with Zeiss FE 55 1.8 yesterday.
In terms of my personal life, I am married with 2 boys (4 years old & 3 months) and they are my main drivers to improve my photo skills. I have about 14k photos accumulated over time and I can see my photography skills develop as time went by. There is still plenty of room for improvement.
Thanks.
