Shutter click noise?

Hi,
in the future I am planning to take photos of various shows and performances, but my camera (canon 450D) has quite a loud mirror slap noise/ shutter click noise. I was wondering if there were anything I could buy/make to reduce the noise, as I don't want to disrupt other people watching the performances. Buying a new camera isn't an option at the moment :(

Not really. Each camera has that noise, how loud it is depends on the model. Nothing you can do to quieten it down. Other than wrapping the whole camera is sound-proofing..hehe
