Hellooooo from Central Queensland Newbie to Forums

Hi all,

I'm Ellie from Central Queensland. I am a newbie to these forums, but hope to gain alot of knowledge to get my old grey matter back into the swing of things. I am currently looking at purchasing a camera - would love to get the Pentax K5IIs or the new K3.....think I might be dreaming a bit on getting the latter lol.

I used to own a Pentax K1000 back in the day - it was a 16th birthday pressie, unfortunately I traded it in and have been a point and shoot photographerr mostly since then...... Unfortunately this has been extremely disappointing and my desire has been reignited by playing with some friends cameras lately.....so now my heart is pinning to get back into the real deal again......

Only have pics from the old dodgy not so good camera...... but where is the best place to post?
Maybe I should change my intermediate to beginner lol.....

Hi and welcome, Ellie. Post in any appropriate "forum" found under that same named-button, depending on genre. Or, you can use "Sundry" for a mix.
To see how to post, look up the Library.

If you really want to change back to "Beginner", let us know, though we usually put people up who show some more than basic skill.

Thanks Am, going to take me a little while to work out these forums....but persistence is key..... tried to upload a pic but not sure if it worked....in the competition part...... is there a guide on how to upload?

Welcome Ellie,

Enjoy the site! Post some images. Everyone here is very friendly. Make use of the Beginner's CC forum while you can. Get involved and enter the competitions (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/apcompetition.php) ( if you like competitions (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/apcompetition.php)) , and try the members challenge each week . These all give you a way to keep motivated and focus your learning.
