Hi,

Dissatisfied with compacts, I aquired a D7000 about a year ago and it can do so much more. :) I also got an E-PM5 for my birthday this month so there is another challenge! My main subjects are kids, dolls (BJDs) and nature. I've not got heaps of time to spend on it (too many things to do in a day) so I'm progressing slowly but hey. I'm enjoying myself. :)

:gday: & Welcome
- lets see some photos in the main CC forums (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?5) maybe try a competition or 2 and have fun!

Maybe have a look at the New to Photography (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book) book and the Learning Plan in the book.

Hello and welcome Kati.

We're currently organising a Melbourne/Vic meet up, I see that you're busy, but if you're free or able to make time on Saturday June 7th, feel free to join in with us. :)

Thanks everyone for the welcome. :) I've spent an hour with the New To Photography book and it is -wonderful-. Don't know why I haven't looked for something like it before... no, actually I do know. My youngest kid is almost 4 months old and while she's my favourite subject, she's also a terrible distraction. ;) Thanks for the link to the meetup, but given how much attention the baby needs, I'll hold off a bit and practice more. ;)
