Hi All
I'm a 40yo guy from Brisbane. I have been interested in photography to varying degrees since the mid 90's starting with a cheap full manual SLR. I then graduated to an Canon EOS50 SLR.
I jumped to a Digital 300D in 2005 and upgraded bodies through a several versions. I then put the camera away for a while and focused on some other hobbies including electronics, playing with Arduino, metalworking.
In 2011 I got a rescue kitten called Layla (<-- My avatar) https://www.flickr.com/photos/macroadventures/12866929283/
My interest in photography took off again wanting to photograph her, so I bought a Canon 70D and updated all my lenses. I also took the leap to go to an L lens something I decided not to do before since I was not "professional".
I'm currently committed to changing from a "gun and run" or perhaps "spray and pray" to a more measured careful photographer. Something that's not easy since I'm an somewhat impatient person.
