Hi all,

fresh on board here, hoping to learn to improve upon my photos.

I currently own a Canon 550D with the 18-55 and 55-250 kit lenses.
Whilst I have snapped a couple of nice pics, I've never been 100% happy with them.
To hopefully move on up, I'm currently awaiting the delivery of a Sigma 17-50 f2.8 lens, which should be a dramatic improvement upon the smaller kit lens from my reading of various reviews.

Make use of the Beginner's CC forum while you can. Get involved and enter the competitions (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/apcompetition.php) ( if you like competitions (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/apcompetition.php)) , and try the members challenge each week . These all give you a way to keep motivated and focus your learning.

Their is a wealth of experience and information here on the site.
