Hi from Nelson Bay NSW

Hi All,

I left a corporate role in the CBD and we have moved to Nelson Bay about 2 1/2 hours north of Sydney.

Back in the late 70's I owned a Nikomat FTN SLR and was quite keen but family , work and life generally saw me put it to one side. When digital cameras came on the scene I bought a point and shoot camera and and kept an eye on their development. I did miss the creative components but liked the spontanaity that the P&S provided.

Fast forward to now and I recently bought a Canon 70D and have gone back to scratch re-educating myself again in the art of photography.

Good on you for getting out of that big city.:th3: Took us about six months to just slow down and adjust to the easier pace of things.
Plenty of helpful people here, so don't be afraid to post away, ask questions, make comments and generally get involved.

Hi from dizzying heights of amateur photography in northern NSW.

I am new at the zoo too. I have a 70D also and discovering more function all the time (like the touch screen). Been a Canon person since I was born so have a few other DSLR's.

The best way to learn to swim is jump in the water. The best way to take good images is to use your camera a lot.
