Hello from Melbourne

Hi there and Merry Christmas from Carnegie in Melbourne.

I started my journey when I bought my first DSLR (Canon 550D + EF-S 17-55) back in 2010. At first, it was to satisfy a want... I wanted to document my Japan trip in September.

Fast forward to now, I still say I'm a beginner in this journey, but I'm enjoying it a lot. My biggest weakness is composition (my wife is much better than me at that). My key interests are landscapes (well, documenting trips :), events (e.g. friends wedding), and more recently portraits (particularly of a small addition to the family).

Looking forward to learn more from the site, I'll see if I can put some photos up once I get my bearings, and also to browse recommendations for equipments in the future (tripods :)).
