Hi all - I am very new to photography and find this learning curve a slow process, however, a very enjoyable pastime. I am very fortunate to have been able to borrow my daughters Canon EOS7D and started by taking photos of birds to try to identify them. I am now not satisfied with just that - I would now like to be able to take good photos. I have one or two good shots and hundreds of deleted photos!

G'day Laylee.
Welcome to the photography learning curve. You'll get it in the end, though it can take some time and practice. Yeah, you already know that.:)
If you haven't already found it, you might find some of this worth going through ...... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book
Don't be afraid to ask questions about how someone captured a photo you like. And posting photos asking how it could have been done better is another way to get "better"(learn).
See you around AP, hopefully.:th3:
