Hi all, Im relatively new to photography. Im an avid photo taker, and frequently have to delete 2000 odd photos from my iphone. Occassionally I play with them, and do some modifications, print them, give them as presents, post on my facebook and make up slide shows. I've never thought I was particularly "good" but more being there at the right time.
What an amazing difference a good camera makes haha. Im learning a lot more and applying what i've learnt, and I hope Im improving.
My bff /cousin is a natural born photographer, and loves taking artistic shots of - well mainly my horses. I decided to branch this talent out, and push her to start a photography business by dragging her around to a whole lot of horse events. Well what we found is her passion is more portraits, and close ups of the horses, meawhile everyone wanted more action shots. So i picked up camera, and started fasttrack learning about sports photography.
I tracked down a website to set ourselves up on (www.secretwomensbusiness.smugmug.com (http://www.secretwomensbusiness.smugmug.com)) and have started.
So here we are , hopefully the beginning of successful photography business and if we could give up a day jobs and do this always, we would be very happy folks.
Anyway, as we are at the begining, Im hoping to gain advice on setting up, marketing and getting our name out there, websites printing and anything else people may think might help out these newbies.
Cheers Tina and Lisa
