View Full Version : First post - Introduction
Hi, my name is Karen. I am hoping by joining this site to learn how to take my photography from novice to something I can be proud of. I look forward to working through the New To Photography book and getting feedback. I love travel, the outdoors and wildlife which would be the focus of my photography. I own a Canon 600D with the standard provided twin lens kit and a G12 which I use for underwater photos. Cheers

Hello Karen :action66: and Welcome to AP. You will learn a lot reading through the New To Photography Book.
And post some images on the Forums for cc that also a great way to learn :2smile:
G'day Karen.
You've found a good place to share and learn. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
There's a few members that post underwater photos. They're always interesting to most of us that don't get down there.:th3:
Thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to being able to post some photos and get some feedback.
Cheers Karen

Go to settings, top right of any page here. Then look to the left as you scroll down, eventually you'll see Edit Profile Picture, though I'm guessing you probably want to use Edit Avatar to get rid of that bloody camera.:)

Hi Karen and welcome aboard :)
Thanks, I see the option there now. Must admit I had not ventured past 'my profile'. Not having any luck updating but will keep trying.
Cheers Karen

There is a profile pic and an avatar. If you mean the image that displays next to your username when you post, then that is your avatar. You need to change your avatar for that. Your profile pic is what is shown when someone views your profile.
Love the pics. Show a different side to diving!! Thanks. Karen
Thank Kwaal for the question and ricktas for the answer as I was wondering how to change my photo - it's now all done and looking good I hope :p
Looking good! Wish I could say the same but will keep trying.....
Cheers Karen
