Humble beginnings

Hello there!

I'm excited to join this amazing resource.

I have recently moved to Tasmania and already have seem some amazing and beautiful places. Now it's time I learnt how to capture what I see with my camera. Very much a beginner photographer, what little I know is self-taught. I have few (okay, make that no) friends into photography, so hopefully can use this as a way to learn, socialise and share experience/knowledge.

One photographic goal I have is to capture an Aurora. Unfortunately it's been pretty quiet since I arrived but I should be using this time to practise, I know!

The thing I look forward to most is teaching my mind and eyes to view the world through a camera, to be more observant and creative.

I'll have a browse through some of my photos and upload for CC (when I can, it isn't an available option yet?).

Welcome. I am coming to Tassie at the end of November - 27th or 28th I intend to go out and do some night shots around Hobart. You are more than welcome to come with me if you like, have some fun and see what we can do. There may be other Tasmanian dwellers that might come along as well, kinda make it a meet :)
