Hey people,
Names Michael, living in Brisbane with the wife, new to the area so would love to find some awesome places to take photos of.
I have a travel camera Sony Nex-7 and I am looking at getting a Canon 6D in a few weeks.
If anyone wants to go for a photo walk somewhere send me some details... I dont really know any good spots yet but hopefully you do.
Would love to take my photography to the next level so give all the CC you can.
Thanks people, see you in the forums

Going to jump on a bus in to Brisbane and see where I end up, getting off at random stops to see what the city has to offer. I have some new ND filters (not really spent much time with ND filters) which I want to try out using in the city etc. Here's a photo I took using them a few weeks ago at Woody Point, Brisbane http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5518/9694542505_510f8b13e3_b.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/101426169@N03/9694542505/)Woody Point, Brisbane (http://www.flickr.com/photos/101426169@N03/9694542505/) by NZBoffin (http://www.flickr.com/people/101426169@N03/), on Flickr

Welcome to Brisbane. I like you referring to us as people, rather than the american "guys". (I also like term "folk"). That said, you will find much to fill your lens, as in other cities. One difference, is light intensity. Another is atmospheric clarity in the winter months. Woody point looks pretty good. Thanks, I need to investigate ND filters.

Hi Martycon. Yea you will have to get some ND filters, I haven't used them much yet but when I do they can be a heap of fun. It gives you a whole new range of possibilities.
