Received a newsletter today that reminded me of this site, I will try to be better at not forgetting:)
I actually first joined over 4 years ago when at the time was just getting more serious/curious about photography, I did a lot of reading on here but not much posting. Even to this day I can understand why, "what could I possibly have to say, I didn't know anything!"
In 4 years I have made some progress, more through trial and error, but life is a constant distraction so there have been some pauses. I think the way to progress further is to maybe post some photos and get some critique from actual photographers rather than from friends and family. I know what there going to say now "wow" or "that's nice" or "cool" or "mmmm" most make me feel warm and fussy but will not help me improve my photography.
