Interesting read on this Carl Ziess one off lens , Sold at Auction for $80,000

Made me smile.
Then I cried 'cause I couldn't afford a lens like it.

A One off Leica for an Oil Sheikh (http://www.popphoto.com/gear/2012/08/worlds-most-expensive-lens-unsurprisingly-leica)
Plus an options of a special support vehicle.
The lens looks a bit like the 200 - 600 F2.8 Sigma lens without the electronics
