Hi Ricktas. Welcome to the forum.

Your image is not bad for being remotely triggered. A couple of things you might want to look out for...
1. Use AF - auto focus, and
2. Use a pretty high shutter speed to help reduce motion blur. (Also, use a steady tripod.)

The lighting and exposure are not too bad, though.

You might find a fair bit of useful advice in this Library link. (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book)
Point 2.2 there is probably of most immediate use.

Finally, keep practising and post up pics for CC. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
