Just been onto the Nikon website to get the latest vertion off (viewnx2) it also said there was a firmware upgrade last month for my NikonD3200!! Most other firmware upgrades I have ever done are for the pvr, pc, etc, just using a usb cable! but Nikon say to remove memory card and install in to computer. & so on.
is it a simple process??
thanks
is it a simple process??
Yes it is.
Follow the directions on the Nikon site exactly and you will not have any problems.
The main points are:-
Make sure your camera battery is fully charged.
Format the memory card in the camera.
Copy the downloaded firmware update straight to the memory card from your computer, not inside any folders on the memory card.

Who knows? But, check your firmware version, and then check on-line for the latest. If necessary, update it.
This site (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer?pageKeyCode=prdAdvDetail&docId=0901e0248045a50f) and also this one (https://www.canon.com.au/Personal/Support-Help/Support-News/Firmware-Updates/EOS-5D-Mark-II-Firmware-Update) indicate that it is up to Version 2.1.2.
