Hi, I used to have 35mm SLR cameras years ago, but these days, digital point & shoot compacts are all I have, and use. I just purchased a new cheapie, and that has sparked my interest in participating in an online photography forum - starting here.

My new camera is a Canon A4000 IS. I am very happy with it so far. I haven't found much mention of it in internet searches of discussion forums, outside the reviews. It was released about a year ago, so maybe it's still a bit new? Maybe it's too low end :).

Anyhow, that's where I am at the moment. Think I'll head over to the beginners section...
