Hi all, im michael. Joined the site to chat with like minded locals.
Been into photography many years, learning on film in year 10 and developing in class. Had a long gap and a few years ago got a dslr to learn and figure out what i like. Ive always been into nature/landscape/wildlife, but lately getting into people and street.
last year i sold off all my canon gear due to the d800. With it i have a nikon 24-120 f4 for general use and wider stuff, i have a nikon 85 1.8g which lately has been a permanent attachment on the cam. Love it. Also have a tokina 100 2.8 macro which is also exceptional for people, thou pretty slow. Lastly theres the sigma 120-300 2.8. This is for wildlife, but do love it for a tight landscape too.
Im contemplating the fuji xe1 of late as the d800 as great as it is, doesnt get too much play time due to the size. People dont like that thing in their face and im not comfortable in smaller towns with a dslr. Too many looks.
anyway, thats a discussion for a different thread.
