Ho hum, here we go again....Shame they can't get on with the job of running the country instead of squabbling about who is going to be the boss like a bunch of schoolkids.

Aren't there enough places on the web to discuss this over drawn subject without bringing it in here?

As expected Kevin didn't jump in to take control of a unrecoverable sinking ship, he's too smart for that.
Keith.

Agree. Clever he is. Wait till the election, Julia and her mob go down, she resigns as leader (as they always do), Kevin puts his hand up to be leader of the opposition, gets it, then he needs to have a massive clean out of the Labor Party and start afresh, looking to the 2017 election.

As the drover said, "Herd it all before."
And the microbiologist retorted, "Say mould! Say mould!"
LNP must be happy with the outcome, KRudd in the wings, Gillard looks stupid, Polls will be negative for Labor, Labor looks like a shambles

And now all we are waiting for is the shambles that will replace this one. Liberally shambolic! Now there's an election slogan... Er, well, an inevitable outcome, anyway.
Today's events remind me of a line from Monty Python.
"All of a sudden nothing happened."
Now maybe the media can leave this leadership speculation alone and cover what the Govmint is (or isn't) doing.

Yep, the fact that liberals will take over is almost inevitable.
I just hope that it's not a total landslide victory and give them complete control over the govt like our fiend Campbell Newman has here in QLD.

Oh, woe!
Or, more symphonically,
Oboe!
Either way, there's a swan song (yes, even!) in the offing (-enbach).
This is where a few stirring bars of the national anthem should ring out...
"Australians all led ostriches..." (but advanced where?)

6.38pm Labor has chosen to lose the next election
Joel Fitzgibbon has told Triple J's Hack program that he believes Labor has chosen to lose the September election.
When asked this afternooon if he thought the party has chosen to lose the next election, Fitzgibbon replied:
"I do".
He then went on to say that if we went to the polls right now, knowing that some Labor MPs have less than 10 per cent of the marginal vote, they would lose their seats.
"What is going on?," he said.
He added that: "What makes it so weird...they're sacrificing themselves..in that somehow under the current leadership things will improve".
Fitzgibbon said that many Labor MPs were still operating under 100-year-old architecture in the Labor party, being influenced by others outside of the party including trade unions.
Unbelievable!!
Laboring under the false impression that anyone really cares who's at the helm when the vessel sinks! :confused013
All bud Abbott has to do is flap his ears and he and his mates will magically levitate well above Simple Simon and the rest these ALP bottom feeders. Where's lou Costello when you need him? Am I happy at that prospect? Nah! But anything to get rid of the redhead and her motley crew. Love the sound of the deck chairs clattering all over the place. Has a titanic ring to it!

The writing's on the wall?
((Soon, the writhing in the hall(s, of power - standing in for corridors).)
