Hi everyone
I'm Andy, living in Brisbane for the past 3 years and must say I like it a lot. Don't tell Julia but I'm here on a 457 visa having left my home in Thailand to come work here.
Photography has been my hobby since my Mum & Dad gave me a Rollei B35 as a youngster - there won't be many of you who would even remember that camera but it served me well through uni and then went with me everywhere as I started to travel the world in my chosen career path in the O&G industry. Since then, I've become an avid Canon fan and now own quite a bit of gear, listed below - more on the wish list.....
I enjoy all kinds of photography but especially like landscape and, for the technical challenges they pose, bird photography (new at that) and macro. I'd say I'm a seriously addicted amateur which is like a serious amateur but very much still learning, which is why I would encourage and appreciate constructive criticism - I'll never take offence or be upset by your opinion. I was only recently introduced the benefits of RAW photography and LR4 and moved away from jpegs straight out of the camera and my developing sometimes needs taming.
Looking forward to posting my first few shots once I find my way around, which I'll probably take from my more recent shots on Flickr, here http://www.flickr.com/photos/84350712@N03/
Cheers, Andy
