Hi All - my name's Matthew, and I'm from Rydalmere in Sydney

Looking forward to getting some tips on how to improve my photos - I'm trying to get more use out of the cash I've invested in my gear. I'm also trying to get more skilled with my photos - I've recently bought a D7000 (had (still have) a D50 before that), and want to learn how to get some creative shots (like long exposure night shots for star trails), and learning how to do post production in Lightroom or the like. I mostly take landscapes, but am trying to get better at portrait style shots.

I'm also very keen on hearing about new lenses/bodies (I've always been a tech-fiend) - even if I can't afford them yet :)

A good way to learn is to post some photos and see what people say.
Another is to simply ask questions here. Like how a photo looks, ask the poster how they did it.
