Sydney meet - saturday, 9th march

Hello my lovelies.

It's been a little while since our last meet and I am running out of ideas. Remember also, that anyone can call for a meet, not just me. :D I am thinking that Saturday, 9th March might be a good day.

I have attached a poll as to what type of meet we would all like so please put in your vote and post any ideas you might have. Once we find out the type of meet then we can decide where and when. If we do a portrait shoot it might involve a small amount of money if we decide to hire a model.

Bummer!! I can't go on 9th March as I will be at a Nippers Carnival which is a three day event at Patonga....we are camping!:eek: I would have been more than happy to contribute toward a model if I were able to go.

Hi there, great thought to organise a meet. I can't do either 9th nor 16th. march is a busy month as both my mum and Ben have their birthdays on the same date (14th and possible party on 16th) and this year my in-laws are moving (9th) so i'm no good for either. Sorry, I am not having much luck with meets lately :-(

Hi Nellie, I am in. I would need to check my diary re suitable dates but possibly later March is better as it will give a few weeks notice after sorting out what to do and where. If you want sunrise - better too as late pre-end of daylight saving gives better timing. Maybe a cityscape sunrise.

Sorry guys can't do Easter saturday it's my wedding anniversary......first time since weve beeen married that the 30th March has fallen on a Saturday....same day of week we were married. Hubby has planned very nice night out!!

The 30th is now a better day for me as my hubby informed me that he had planned for us to go away for the weekend on 9th or the 16th before it starts getting too cold at the South Coast beaches.

If you are looking for a venue, may I suggest Rodd Park.
Near Drumoyne/Five dock.

It would be nice for water/boat(ish) and skyline pictures.

It is also close to that bridge.... near Birken Head.

I think this is a great idea. I can't make it at the moment as I am taking things easy at the moment. I would DEFINITELY be up for a zoo trip at the end of the year - I have a guest pass for someone else to get free entry in, plus cheaper parking, but I'm out for awhile. Hope you enjoy your outing!!

You would be most welcomed Bulley61 - we are a very friendly bunch and we all learn from each other. There are a few of us that live in the Kellyville/Castle Hill area and we often car pool to our meets - always good to have another driver on board. :)
We usually average one meet a month/2 x months so keep an eye on this forum for future meets. Pity you can't make this one.

Good news Karen - we'll celebrate it with you!
It looks like it is going to be an evening shoot of City Lights but I have yet to think of where we should go, so if anybody has suggestions please post them here very soon.
So far we have suggestions of:
Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Mrs Macquarie's Chair, Kirribili Point.

I am thinking maybe Darling Harbour might be interesting and we could meet and have dinner beforehand within the area. :confused013

We've been down there on a previous Hoopla festival weekend. Yes it's busy but so are most Darling harbour weekends. Definitely events taking place which could be photographed. May need to book somewhere to eat that's all or have a picnic :-) with bubbles as there's lots to celebrate ;)
