Greetings from Yorkshire. I'm entirely new to Photo forums, but want to learn from others. I guess it will be a steep learning curve, especially learning how to post images, but eager to benefit from the community on here. I'm an enthusiast rather than expert or beginner. My main interests are landscape and travel, though I try at wildlife and architecture when my lenses give me scope. My gear is all Canon - 5D mkii, 16-35mm, 70-200L, 100-400mm, 100mm macro and 135mm; Velbon tripod, KATA bag, Lee filters and PP on iMac using Aperture3, LR3 and CS5.
Have travelled a good deal since retiring (from teaching) a few years ago. Looking to learn to improve both photography and PP. Have been to NZ for a month's trip when I first retired, and hope to get to Aus in the next few years. I'd love to hear from anyone from Australia coming to this part of the UK (York or North Yorkshire), and I'll help if/where I can.
