In addition to the Nikon D3100 I also have a Canon SX210 IS which I use when a DSLR is inappropriate .My nikon 3100 is now set to Aperture after a long time of my shooting in Program mode using settings recommended by Ken Rockwell.
During a recent trip to Vietnam a photographer taking me on an early morning shoot to a fishing village suggested Aperture Priority ISO and spot focussing, I have been using these settings with mixed success since.
I am in ny 60's and therefore photography will remain an interesting hobby for me, I have at least moved beyond Auto setting and see that as a milestone of sorts.
In addition I upload to my 64Gb iPad and to Aperture on my iMac.As yet I have no dedicated post process software,[ I once owned PS Elements on a previous Mac OS].
What are the thoughts on Post process software for beginner to intermediate part time shutterbugs;-] like me?
