New to DSLR help me learn

My wife has given me a Sony SLT A57 which is a twin lens pack and as the title says I am completely new to these type of cameras so take it easy on me please.
I hope to get a lot out of this forum and intend to use the beginners forum and the library to help me on the way.
I love four wheel driving and hope to get some good pictures of Aussie nature where ever I go.
