Hi everyone :)

I'm Vaughan and live in Chermside, QLD. I found this site while googling for interesting photography locations. I got my camera around 18mths ago and my current kit includes
-D3100
-18-55mm kit lens
-55-300mm telephoto
-UV, polarising, ND filters
My wish list includes the 50mm f/1.8 lens and a wireless remote. I like snapping all kinds of things - mainly landscape I guess and architectural, and I'm also a car nut so nothing beats bringing the two hobbies together :) I've been thinking about making an automotive rig for a while... something to get around to one day!

I'm sure this forum will lead to many new ideas and skills, and I'm sure the comps will provide some inspiration and motivation to get out there and take some pictures more often than my occasional artistic whim usually hits.

Here's some of my favourite shots I've taken to get started:

Cheers

This was on my first real outing with the D3100

Another trip to the same location, I love it when the clouds put on a show

A recent adventure, and my first real dabble in post-processing. Usually I'm too lazy for that stuff.

I always take the camera when out for a drive - you never know what kind of view will pop up for you

At a friends wedding - the bride and groom were posing for photos off to the right. I saw this off to the side and thought it was gorgeous.

The Daintree, and the photo that made me go and get some ND filters.

On the NSW south coast, where my inlaws live.

Hi Vaughan. Welcome to AP. I live just down the road at McDowall. A suggestion. When you post on CC thread it is best to post 2 or 3 photos at time. Larger volumes are harder to comment on.

Welcome to AP, as above, put your photos in the CC forums for feedback and it's best to only put one or two in a thread otherwise all you will get as replies are 'nice series' etc. By putting one photo in a thread, you will get good valuable feedback.
