:gday:
I'm Cecile, and I have been shooting happy snaps for many years. The last film camera I had was a Canon EOS something or other, and I liked the way it worked and how it felt in my hand...hated having to have film developed though! I had my first digital camera experience when my then partner let me use his little Canon A410, and I was hooked with the simplicity of it, as well as being delighted that there were no film costs. In 2008 I finally got my first DSLR, a Canon 1000D (although in hindsight I should have got the 450D with IS lens but I'm happy for now with a beginner's model.)
Anyhoo, I am surprised to find that I have something of an "eye" and can take a pretty good composition, even in "point and shoot" mode, so now wish to learn a lot more, which includes hearing critiques of my shots.
I discovered this forum today, and I think I may have some fun with it. Glad to have found you.
Kind regards
Cecile in Geelong
